The lamp where butterflies gather

The first time I heard about this light was while I was sipping beer under the cherry blossoms.

Mita had apparently found an interesting lamp in Australia and he was saying, "butterflies are surrounding the light as if they're flocking to it, it's terribly interesting. A bloke in Melbourne makes them."

From that day on I began looking forward to seeing this lamp in person.

And so one day Mita arrives at the office carrying a large cardboard box. Inside the surprise was waiting, butterflies catching the breeze as we opened the flaps and gazed in. Hello Eyoi yoi lamp.

Everyone in the office glanced and the first word out of their months was, "What?!"

My expectations for the piece were exceeded, in a good way... a very good way.

Eyoi yoi brings up sensations from far away, perhaps slightly nostalgic? The lamp is simple, fun and beautiful, but I think it is its frankness which brings joy to my heart.

The lamp looks as if its creator had a tremendously fun time making it.

The butterflies! So many!!!

The lamp is fun and cute

Here comes Mita! (this fixture is φ1,200mm)

The view from below is good too

The name is Eyoi yoi

Eyoi yoi captivates you with your first glance. The artist, Mr. Marc Pascal, lives in Melbourne, Australia. The inspiration for the lamp comes from the breeze flowing through the leaves of a trees, butterflies in dance, and dancing shadows.

Each butterfly is hand made by Marc Pascal. The butterfly is made of polycarbonate, colored in a special manner by Pascal so Eyoi yoi's color palette continues to expand. The color tone of some butterflies wings are flat, others shine.

The finished butterflies are, like flower arrangement, placed on the end of a wire and then poked into a central rubber ring.

Each lamp is made after the order is placed, so you can make requests for specific colors and small modifications to the overall balance of the lamp for your own one of a kind piece.

Your lamp could be colorful like the photo, or even more vibrant. Or you could limit the colors, to say white and green, which would simplify and change the impact of the lamp entirely.

Besides the pendant shown here, table lamps (170,000 yen) and floor stands (180,000 yen) are also available. Please contact us directly if you are interested and we will send you sample photos. For the Japanese home, the floor stands may be just the right size.

The butterflies dance in a breeze, and their shadow is projected onto the ceiling, floor - all around the room. Besides the simple beauty of the butterflies, Eyoi yoi lamp also brings us closer to nature.
